Profusion Therapy
The Isolaz system not only cleanses and purifies your pores, but also provides Profusion technology to replenish the skin, enhancing the application of topical products to improve overall treatment results1. The great thing about Profusion is that it can be used anytime, with or without Isolaz treatment, to apply topical skincare products to the skin (please consult your Isolaz provider).
How Does Profusion Enhance the Application of Topical Products?
Without Profusion
First, you need to understand a little about the outermost layer of the skin, called the stratum corneum. The purpose of the stratum corneum is to form a barrier to protect underlying tissue from infection, chemicals, and mechanical stress.
So, when you apply a skincare product to your skin, the stratum corneum blocks most of it from penetrating deep into the skin, as part of it’s protection of the skin.1
With Profusion
With Profusion, a vacuum gently stretches the skin. The stratum corneum cells are pulled apart, allowing (and assisting with) the application of the topical product into the intercellular spaces of the skin.
When the vacuum pressure is released, the stratum corneum returns to its normal, protective position.
This enhanced application of topical products helps to improve overall treatment results.1
